During our time together, you can expect that I make sure to honor the relationship with my clients. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is what guides treatment. I am straight-forward, and use humor as a way to connect with my clients. My approach to therapy is eclectic, rooted in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all method—each person’s experiences are unique and deserve individualized care. Below are some ways I use treatment modalities:

Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained and have been since 2022. I incorporate EMDR to help clients process and move through trauma that continues to impact their daily lives. EMDR could be used for a variety of challenges besides trauma, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and more.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I use a collaborative approach with my clients to challenge their negative thinking patterns, I help clients pull themselves out of dark spaces that feel impossible, while holding a compassionate and safe environment. With CBT, it is common that I will assign my clients homework to do outside of sessions.

Attachment Theory & Family Therapy

Attachment plays a role in all our relationships. I use an attachment-focused approach to help clients deepen and nurture the connections that matter most. I am trained in Level One Theraplay and the Marschak Interaction Method (MIM), an approach that focuses on nurturing attachment and enhancing the relationship between children and their caregivers. I am committed to involving the entire family system in order to strengthen attachment bonds within the system.

Existential Therapy

I use existential therapy to support my clients in discovering meaning in their lives, while also encouraging personal responsibility in facing life's challenges.

Humanistic Therapy

I draw from a humanistic approach—meeting you exactly where you are, and moving at a pace that feels right for you. It is imperative that this space is for you, and you use it in any way you deem appropriate for yourself.

Solution-focused

We all have strengths that are sometimes difficult to discover. Together, we will find your strengths and collaborate together to learn how to drawn upon your strengths in difficult situations.

Culture Competency

It is my responsibility to remain culturally competent and educate myself about my clients’ ethnic backgrounds to better understand what they are going through. As a middle-eastern therapist myself, I understand the importance of connecting with a therapist who just ‘gets it’ without needing to explain minuscule things about your upbringing.

Couples Therapy

I’m passionate about supporting multicultural couples as they navigate complex or challenging conversations, and I work to enhance communication between partners. With Gottman Level One training, I help couples deepen their connection and strengthen their love for each other.
