My Approach

  • I have been EMDR trained since 2022. I incorporate EMDR to help clients process and move through trauma that continues to impact their daily lives. EMDR could be used for a variety of challenges besides trauma, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and more.

  • I use a collaborative approach with my clients to challenge their negative thinking patterns, I help clients pull themselves out of dark spaces that feel impossible, while holding a compassionate and safe environment. With CBT, it is common that I will assign my clients homework to do outside of sessions.

  • I draw from a humanistic approach—meeting you exactly where you are, and moving at a pace that feels right for you. It is imperative that this space is for you, and you use it in any way you deem appropriate for yourself.

  • I use existential therapy to support my clients in discovering meaning in their lives, while also encouraging personal responsibility in facing life's challenges.

  • Attachment plays a role in all our relationships. I use an attachment-focused approach to help clients deepen and nurture the connections that matter most. I am trained in Level One Theraplay and the Marschak Interaction Method (MIM), an approach that focuses on nurturing attachment and enhancing the relationship between children and their caregivers. I am committed to involving the entire family system in order to strengthen attachment bonds within the system.

  • We all have strengths that are sometimes difficult to discover. Together, we will find your strengths and collaborate together to learn how to drawn upon your strengths in difficult situations.

  • It is my responsibility to remain culturally competent and educate myself about my clients’ ethnic backgrounds to better understand what they are going through. As a middle-eastern therapist myself, I understand the importance of connecting with a therapist who just ‘gets it’ without needing to explain minuscule things about your upbringing.

  • I’m passionate about supporting multicultural couples as they navigate complex or challenging conversations, and I work to enhance communication between partners. With Gottman Level One training, I help couples deepen their connection and strengthen their love for each other.
